Things To Do

Golwg Y Graig ("View of the Rock") is the perfect base for your Welsh holiday.

Things to do in the village

Visit the beaches
Aberporth has two beaches. The big beach is for boats and dogs are allowed all year round. The little beach in front of GYG is perfect for swimming, and is dog-free in the summer.
Go ocean kayaking
Hire kayaks or bring your own! Aberporth Bay has an amazing coastline to explore by boat, and if you're lucky, you might see dolphins or seals!
Wildlife Watching
There are no official wildlife tours operating in Aberpoth, because we don't need them! Bring your binoculars and watch ganets, oyster catchers, gulls and other birds diving in the bay. Pods of dolphins also swim through and occasionally do some fantastic leaps, and seals use the beaches to have their pups. If you're out in a boat, they come very close!
Eat at The Ship
Fantastic food, and if you've booked ahead (recommended in the summer), ask for the window table for amazing views over Aberporth Bay.
Fete's
Aberporth has a summer fete in July. Fancy dress competitions, stalls and even meet Gail at the Surfers Against Sewage stall!

A Bit Further Afield...

Walk the Ceredigion Coast Path
Long walk or short, enjoy some amazing scenery and gentle to moderate dificulty walks. Visit the Ceredigion Coast Path website for more information. Section 1 and Section 2 are most relevant.
Visit Tresaith
We recommend walking the coast path to get to Tresaith. Stunning views, and a cold pint or two waiting for you in Tresaith's own The Ship pub! There's also an amazing ice-cream shop.
Visit Mwnt
A fantastic beach nestled between towering cliffs. There's also a traditional whitewashed church you can visit, and stunning views.
